5. Sheath Operating Temperature

Select One: -325 F to 500 F -325 F to 750 F -325 F to 1200 F Other The maximum temperature of the application affects the calibration, size (diameter) and material of the sensor we select.

6. Sheath Material

Select One: 304SS 310SS 316SS INCONEL Other The application dictates the choice of sheath materials.  304SS and 316SS are most commonly used but temperatures and corrosive conditions can necessitate the use of other materials.

7. Sheath Diameter

Select One: .125" .188" .250" .313" .375" Other The Mineral Insulated thermocouples come in a number of sizes but the choice is greatly influenced by the maximum temperature of the application.  For high temp applications bigger is better.

8. Sheath Length "L"

Enter Inches: Although the accuracy of the thermocouple is not affected by the length of the sheath consult the factory when the probe length exceeds 120 inches.

9. Leadwire Construction

Material: Fiberglass Teflon® Kapton Other Know the application atmosphere and limitations – temperature, moisture, corrosion and abrasion.  Flexible wire is available in solid or stranded conductors with many sizes (gauge), insulations and calibrations to meet nearly all applications. Configuration: Standard Overbraid Armor

10. Leadwire Gauge

Select One: 20 Gauge 24 Gauge 26 Gauge Other Insulated wire, solid or stranded, in a variety of insulations is carried in the most common sizes from 16 to 24 gauge.

11. Leadwire Length "A"

Enter Inches: There is no limit to the leadwire length however when the distance to the instruments is 150 feet or more a 4-20ma signal conditioner is recommended.

12. Leadwire Terminations

Enter inches from tip ( "N" for None ) Measured from the first thread to the tip of the sheath.  Allow for the thread-in insertion length of the fitting when determining location.

16. Bend Angle
